What is it?

CC Snacks is a web app that uses crowd-sourced information to report the availability of different foods in a cafeteria at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

How does it work?

Anyone who is currently in the cafeteria can mark an item as available or unavailable, if there are enough votes for something being available, a notification will be sent to people who have favorited that item. It all works through crowd-sourced information.

Why did I make it?

The idea for this project came up when one of my friends would message everyone in our Discord server that certain snacks we all liked were available. I figured that we were not the only ones who this could be useful for.

Nov 28th 2022 Update

I had to take down the project because it was using Heroku's free tier and they discontinued offering it. The code for CC Snacks is available on GitHub, fair warning however, it is not well documented.
